Sometimes, I ask myself
Why I repeat a mistake
Like it’s my favorite song. 

I’ve tapped to the beat 
Of my own inadequacies
Like they're the new 
Dance craze. 

I know the three-part 
Chorus to this hook. 
I just can’t seem to get 
This melody out of my head. 

I keep covering my ears.
But all I hear 
Is the same song. 

And it’s not even that good.
